Although it is toward the end summer, hope listeners can enjoy summer pop music.
Selected music is intended for retreats : spending time under the extreme humid summer heat, it is easy to get heatstroke or rundowns. And by listening to the playlist, to help both listeners and the listening environment to be nurtured by being in tune with the sound that resonates comfortably naturally as if we are under the sky high or at the nice space of a high ceilings.
Previously mentioned as the playlist is based on summer- a seasonal theme as usual Round Pattern does. As an image of summer would be the nostalgic ambience, cultural customs, and eventful parties which all fun and beautiful traits, yet summer in Japan is also a special season for remembering the families who have passed away as well as the war victims. There is an inspirational book called, “The Second Movement- The Wind of Hiroshima/Nagasaki” which I got to read this summer and made me reflect upon, the importance of peace.
Therefore I tried the approach to take time and select slow and steady sounds like breathing and pulse to pay attention to the frequency ranges and tone and sound from an humble, qualified sound sommelier myself perspective. And for the environment to communicate friendly. Easy listening to engage present. Not too loud, not too avant-garde. And aim tune in sound and own environment comfortably and gently in sustaining long time.
Another thing is that since the Corona pandemic era is settled, there has been a lot of opportunities to greet and interact with people from Asia and other continents. Particularly In Japan, especially central Kyoto and Tokyo, you hear more and more non-Japanese languages here and there.
From such an interactive experiences, it was a natural process to select Asian countries and other countries music along with Japanese music.
Even though it is the end of summer, the lingering summer heat will be continued for a while yet. Rather be pleasant and engaging ambiance through the season and loved ones or yourself day by day.
People say often that sharing music is a love language. So as foods, thoughts, and laughter. Family, friends, and with loved ones. It’s the one of effective engaging ways to learn others and create significant ambience.
